Beyond Origins was a project that came up based on creating something around my personal interests. I’m really into the weird and obscure so I really wanted to explore those themes in the form  of a furniture piece and zine. I partnered with a local furniture company Bennu CO. and we came up with a multipurpose rack based off the shape of the Egyptian Sphinx. We then hand dyed each wooden end to create some unique patterns to pair with the one off fabric inserts. The rack can serve multiple needs from a book rack to a record holder. I also created a zine to go with the rack which really took a deep dive into the weird and unknown. It’s hard to explain what it means as a whole other than it’s a window into my mind haha.
